Hello, I`m a mother of an overweight boy. My son, Jimmy, is 12, 4 ft 9 in, and 132 lbs. We had him checked by a doctor, and now he`s on a diet. We also made him to take swimming lessons but he`s not very fond of it. I noticed he`s quite sad and lonely. I was wondering if there is any online community for parents with overweight or obese children. I`d like to talk to someone who has been through the same experience or faces my problem. Thank you.

Hello, if you need online help from other mothers in your situation try, one of the biggest online communities dedicated to weight loss. I`m a member there and I know there is this club of mothers from a certain region and they share experiences. I think that`s what you`re looking for.
Of course he sad and lonely. Other children are horrible when it comes to other overweight children. Odds are the kids at school give him a hard time and he’s probably getting the brunt of it. There isn’t much you can do there. The best thing to do for him is get him psyched about the weight loss with fun activities little things that get him away from the table or get his mind off of the diet. Take him out bowling, roller skating, get him into a karate class. I wish you much luck, my cousin was an overweight child and I watched her grow up miserable and depressed I wanted nothing more then to go to her school and teach those kids a lesson!!!!
