    The term “overweight” means different things to different people. It’s a good idea to set off at the beginning, and determine whether you are in reality overweight for your size or not, by calculating your BMI (Body Mass Index).     overweight children tend to begin puberty earlier, and underweight children tend to begin there periods later. You also have to consider stress levels(children who have had stressful lives,eg divorce,poverty,homelessness,etc, begin puberty sooner). Puberty is unique to each person, so it is difficult to predict when things will occur.
