Honestly, I really don’t care. I think people are too obsessed with this issue.

I think they ARE portrayed as what parents don’t want their kids to turn out to be. People now-a-days don’t want their children to look like that and are actually taking the steps to be healthier. I feel as though this is a good reason and we should continue to do this.

i feel they should be portrayed because it shows people that if they eat to much fatty stuff and do not exersise they will end up like them, and although it seems mean, i think they should definatley be there as a wake up call.

The first one that came to mind when I saw your question is the one on Two and a Half Men.

They do tend to be stereotyped into a ‘happy, but dumb’ character. (Jovial fat guy?)

I think they are portrayed as happy, but not very smart. They move slowly, and have easy-going personalities. I’ve noticed several commercials featuring overweight children as the same. It’s very sad. I think they are trying to include them as diversity, but somehow, that doesn’t work.

I think they should be portrayed as realizing that their health is in jeopardy by being overweight at such young ages, and show them trying to do something towards living a healthy lifestyle. Execising, eating healthy, etc.
